The Child Center: Day Treatment

Position description:

Assist in the day treatment classrooms helping students with academic, assisting treatment team in carrying out therapeutic interventions in the classroom, possibly assisting therapists run treatment groups.

Specific skills or experiences needed:

Knowledge and experience working with high-needs kids ages 3-12 years

General understanding of mental health issues and diagnoses related to trauma/abuse/neglect

Experience and willingness to work in high stress situation and with kids who can sometimes be aggressive.

Time requirements:

Positions require 9 hours per week for at least 6 months.

Internships are offered fall, winter, spring, and summer terms.
