CISCAP/Committee in Solidarity With The Central American People

The Comite’ en Solidaridad con el Pueblo Centroamericao is a locally based, grassroots non-profit organization. CISCAP has been working for social change, both in Eugene/Springfield and in Latin America, since 1982, supporting the struggle for peace and justice.

Projects which interns can get involved with include:

Educational events on human rights in Latin America, including Columbia
Information booths, bakesales, and other outreach to the community
Ongoing immigrant justice work, and support work for PCUN, Oregon’s farmworker union
CISCAP’s quarterly newsletter El Aviso
Benefit dinners to raise funds for social change projects in Latin America
Other fundraising, including training and writing foundation grant request
Connecting with other organization, including students groups on campus

Interns can work a variable number of hours per week. The office is open 10:30-3:00 Monday-Friday.
