FOOD for Lane County Intern Position

Hunger in Lane County Fact Sheet Development

Fall 2004

The intern in this position will work with FFLC marketing coordinator to develop a Hunger in Lane County 2-sided, 11x17 Fact Sheet. A sample of this type of document can be found at the following website:

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
    1. Develop a Hunger in Lane County Fact Sheet:

  ·        Work with Fact Sheet committee to select content.
  ·        Gather info, write, edit and proof content. Create graphs and charts for use on the fact sheet using current statistics (recent survey results are available for    Lane County).
  ·        Coordinate internal review/editing of fact sheet.
  ·        Work with FFLC marketing coordinator and outside graphic designer to produce the final product.

    1. Work with FFLC marketing coordinator to develop and write
stories for website.

  SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
    a. Excellent writing and word processing skills
    b. Ability to create graphs and charts using Excel
    c. Well organized and able to manage time wisely: able to meet deadlines
    d. Research skills using the Internet
    e. Access to SSIL lab and ability to use SPSS is helpful, but not required.

School Term: Fall 2004

Hours: 6-12 hrs. per week (flexible times)
