Pearl Buck Center Inc.: Families With Special Needs Preschool

Mission:
To create opportunities and provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities and others at risk, their children and families to promote their independence and active participation in the community.

The FWSNP program provides case management services, which includes a Healthy Start Infant Program, Preschool, Parent Support Services, and Case Management. These families receive resource and referral services, support groups, abuse prevention and early intervention, emergency food and housing subsidies, daily home visits, and preschool program. The preschool is for typically developing children ages 2-5 whose parent(s) is/are developmentally disabled

Infant Playgroup

Position description:
Assist the staff in the Families With Special Needs Preschool classrooms with the children
Assist the staff in the Infant Playgroup with the infants

Specific skills or experiences needed:
Interest in working with young children and infants in a classroom or playgroup setting.

Time requirements:
Varies.
The FSWNP program operates 9:00-2:00 Monday-Thursday
The IP program operates 10:00-12:00 Friday
Internships are offered fall, winter, and spring terms.
